A real estate lawyer and ground rents specialist.
Kaevon focuses on the acquisition of ground rents deriving from long leasehold properties. The vast majority of transactions relate to the acquisition of freehold (or long-leasehold) reversionary interests of blocks of flats which have been built or negotiating conditional agreements pre-construction to acquire the same, where time is often of the essence.
Kaevon works exclusively for fund manager Long Harbour, handling their large and complex investment acquisitions. Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, he ensures that acquisition processes are streamlined and efficient while always ensuring compliance with the rights of tenants.
Recent examples of Kaevon’s work include:
- working in large scale transactions involving the acquisition of ground rents from major national housebuilders;
- assisting colleagues in the corporate team, in acquiring the shares in a ground rents investment company; and
- conducting detailed due diligence when acquiring real estate assets from administrators.
