Tony Cahalin Associate T:01782 338841 M:07789 667597

A chartered tax advisor.

Tony advises private individuals and partnerships on general taxation matters and on the use of trusts and settlements as part of their inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation strategies.  He works alongside brokers, independent financial advisors and wealth investment managers to ensure clients receive comprehensive advice, which complies with current HMRC rules.  He also takes care of all the paperwork, including tax returns and personal or partnership accounts.

Tony acts for a broad range of clients throughout the UK and often advises successive generations of the same family.

Examples of Tony’s recent work includes:

  • enabling a client to minimise inheritance tax liability on their death through legitimate offshore trusts;
  • shielding a family wealth against a claim from an aggrieved former spouse via a discretionary trust;
  • protecting the proceeds from a life insurance policy for the benefit of the insured’s children via a settlement arrangement; and
  • providing advice to multiple generations of a family to ensure that the tax and trust arrangements, together with their respective wills, all guarantee preservation of the family’s wealth while meeting their needs.
